HR Team Leader | Birmingham
Join a global, highly respected law firm and play a key role within the People Services Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days in the office per week.
As a People Centre Team Leader, you will be central to delivering an exceptional employee experience, overseeing the work of 2–4 People Operations Administrators and driving the smooth running of an international, shared HR service.
You must have managerial experience within a HR shared service environment to be considered for this position.
The Role
· Oversee and prioritise the internal HR ticketing system, ensuring queries are actioned promptly, delegating effectively, and escalating when required.
· Lead, support, and motivate a team of 2–4 People Operations Administrators, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
· Work collaboratively with fellow Team Leaders across People Services to deliver efficient and consistent BAU activities.
· Produce accurate, insightful weekly reports to inform the business and support the People Management Team.
· Oversee a seamless onboarding experience for trainees, apprentices, interns, and vacation scheme cohorts.
· Ensure new joiners are set up in internal systems promptly and with 100% data accuracy.
· Conduct quality checks on team data entry and provide real-time, constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
You must have
· Strong understanding of HR systems, processes, policies, and best practice.
· Previous experience within a HR shared service or People Operations environment (e.g., Recruitment, Performance Management, Learning & Development).
· Proven experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor position.
· Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of work effectively.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Confident stakeholder management and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
