A fantastic opportunity for an outstanding public sector procurement professional.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Procurement Specialist to join their expanding Client Services team. This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in Local Authority or wider public sector procurement who is keen to work on high-impact, transformation-focused projects.
You will take ownership of procurement workstreams for new Early Payment projects, while supporting an established portfolio of public sector clients to optimise procurement processes and unlock further value. Working closely with Local Authorities, you will help modernise procurement approaches and embed innovative solutions within compliant, regulated frameworks.
This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your procurement expertise in a project-led, consultative environment, while developing strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
The Role
- Lead Local Authority and public sector clients through end-to-end, high-impact project implementations, helping to modernise and transform procurement activities.
- Take ownership of the sourcing and procurement workstream, playing a key role within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary delivery team.
- Partner with clients to embed early payment solutions into tender documentation, evaluations, and procurement strategies, ensuring full regulatory compliance while driving best-practice outcomes.
- Act as a trusted change champion, building strong engagement and buy-in across Procurement teams and wider stakeholder groups.
- Provide expert, solutions-focused advice on complex tender queries, designing practical, innovative approaches that deliver measurable value for public sector organisations.
- Contribute to the shaping and delivery of strategic internal initiatives, supporting continuous improvement and business growth.
About You
- Demonstrable experience in procurement and contract management, ideally gained within a Local Authority or broader public sector environment.
- Strong working knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks, governance structures, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the confidence and credibility to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A solutions-driven mindset, combining strong analytical thinking with practical problem-solving skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm for driving change, innovation, and continuous improvement within complex organisations.
- Confident and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and project workstreams simultaneously.
