HR Business Partner – UK Restructuring Programme (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Hybrid Working | UK-wide Travel | Full-time (Monday–Friday)

We are recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner to support a large-scale organisational restructuring programme across the UK. This is a business-critical, time-bound role providing end-to-end HR support through complex organisational change, including restructures, redundancy consultations, promotions, demotions, and redeployment.

Working closely with senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and the Operations Director, you will play a key role in delivering a fair, compliant, and well-managed transformation programme that aligns the organisation’s operating model with its future growth strategy. This role will suit a confident, commercially aware HR professional with strong operational experience and the ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support end-to-end restructuring activities, including redundancy consultations, redeployment processes, and internal role changes
  • Plan and facilitate meetings with employees and managers, from initial briefings through to formal consultation and outcome stages
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on employee relations, organisational design, and change management
  • Deliver high-quality HR operational support, including drafting consultation documentation, letters, and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensure all activity is compliant with employment legislation, internal policies, and best practice
  • Partner with leadership teams to align workforce planning with the organisation’s future operational and growth requirements
  • Work collaboratively with senior HR colleagues and operational leaders to ensure a consistent and people-focused approach to change
  • Manage your own workload effectively, adapting to peaks in activity and supporting project administration where required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance communication, engagement, and process efficiency during the transition
  • Travel to UK sites as required to support consultation and line managers
Applicants must have:
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or HR Manager
  • Demonstrable experience delivering redundancy and restructuring programmes end-to-end
  • Confident conducting complex and sensitive consultations, including face-to-face meetings
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a high-volume, fast-paced workload
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach, with the flexibility to support both strategic and administrative activity
  • Experience within construction, logistics, warehouse, or distribution environments is highly advantageous
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent professional experience) preferred
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required
