We are currently recruiting for a fantastic candidate with great IT skills to take on a temporary role, initially for around 6 months, providing support to colleagues on a wide range of software packages and bespoke applications. This is a great opportunity to join a successful international retail company

Duties will include:

Tracking and managing allocated incidents, service requests, and adhoc tasks in line with incident management process, updating team leader and colleagues throughout.

Escalating incidents & service requests to management as appropriate

Assisting with configurations, testing and implementation of new package releases

Being prepared to learn new skills and processes as required

Identifying potential for continual improvement of processes & root cause analysis

Keeping documentation up to date, including process & procedure training paperwork

Developing good working relationships with business users

Supporting colleagues in the use and advancement of various systems, personal computing, mobile phones and bespoke packages across different areas of the business

 

The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent IT knowledge, preferably with experience in a similar IT helpdesk role, with the ability to evaluate issues effectively in order to come up with working solutions, thinking outside of the box as necessary. You will be available to start immediately and be keen to get stuck into a new role based near Central Birmingham.
