We're currently partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Data Protection GDPR Specialist to join its Birmingham-based team. This highly regarded specialist organisation has a strong reputation for advising clients across the public sector, housing sector, and other regulated environments.

• Manage Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) from start to finish, including reviewing large volumes of information and removing sensitive details where required.
• Review privacy assessments to identify potential risks and provide practical recommendations to help manage them.
• Check contracts relating to the use and sharing of personal data, ensuring they meet legal requirements and highlighting any concerns.
• Support information governance, data protection, and compliance projects across the organisation.
• Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on data protection requirements and good practice.
• Help develop and improve internal policies, procedures, and compliance processes to support the organisation's regulatory obligations.

• Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection legislation, gained through practical experience.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
