We’re looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager to join an innovative and fast-growing tech business based in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a varied, hands-on role where you’ll have real autonomy, genuine ownership, and the freedom to shape how things are done.
This is a permanent part-time role (25 hours over 5 days), offering £32–34k pro rata.
The role
This is a central, fast-moving position at the heart of the business where no two days are the same. You’ll be the go-to person ensuring the office runs seamlessly and the wider team is fully supported.
You will:
- Be the first point of contact for the office, creating a welcoming and professional environment for visitors, handling enquiries, calls, and post with confidence.
- Take control of busy inboxes and complex diaries, coordinating meetings, travel, and internal events with precision.
- Keep operations running smoothly by managing office supplies, liaising with suppliers, and processing expenses efficiently.
- Play a key role in maintaining health & safety compliance and facilities management, ensuring everything is accurate, up to date, and running like clockwork.
- Provide high-level administrative and operational support across the wider team, helping the business stay organised, efficient, and ahead of the curve.
About you
- Proven experience in a similar office or operations role within a busy professional environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence interacting at all levels.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and a high level of IT competence.
- Exceptional organisation and time management, with the ability to juggle competing priorities effortlessly.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a genuine desire to learn, improve, and add value.
