This is an excellent opportunity to train as an Investment Manager in the Birmingham office of one the UKs leading investment firms. As a trainee Investment Manager you will be working alongside to assist the Investment Managers in the analysis, preparation and report writing of portfolio analysis for clients. You will be running portfolio reviews to assess they meet the clients investment requirements as well as compiling risk profiles, analysing stock selection and benchmarking  the portfolio of investments. You will also be involved in the preparation of documentation for client pitches and working alongside the Investment Manager to develop business. You will also be covering the administrative duties involved in managing clients’ portfolios.


As you will have extensive client interaction you should be an excellent verbal communicator and highly adept at translating complex investment portfolio information through written communication. Your client focus will also mean that you should be comfortable in developing and maintaining business relationships both internally and externally.


You should have a strong academic record – ideally with a 2:1 or first class degree in Economics or Banking/ Finance related subject. You will ideally have some exposure to the wealth management/ investments sector gained through work experience and ideally have begun to undertake further study towards professional investment qualifications (such as CWM or CISI diploma.)
