My client based in South Birmingham are looking to recruit a Project Assistant to support their Project Managers on a three month basis initially. The role will be based in their IT team assisting the Head of Portfolio & Project Delivery and the Project Team in the production and maintenance of project plans.

Your role will be to:

·Assist the Project Managers in the development and maintenance of project artifacts, filing, recording and reporting systems.

·Co-ordinate the production of portfolio reporting and assist Project Managers in the production of project summary reports.

·Attend project progress meetings and ensure minutes/actions are recorded and circulated.

·Set up and maintain systems for recording project costs.

·Define and document procedures in accordance with agreed methodology.

·Advise and assist project team members in the application of project procedures, disciplines and recording and reporting standards.

·Support Project Managers to maintain risk and issue logs and change control records.

·Develop and support effective communication mechanisms between the project teams.

·Undertake any other administrative tasks as specified by the Head of Portfolio & Project Delivery.

·Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group Policies and Procedures, Legislation and Regulations

Applicants must have previous Project experience with knowledge of project plans, logs etc and ideally have their PRINCE 2 qualification. You must be immediatlty available and ready to start ASAP. This role will be mainly remote with the occasional need to access the companies office in South Birmingham.
