Katie Bard has been given the exclusive opportunity to recruit a new and exciting position for a Senior Recruiter (12-month Fixed-term) to join the existing Silverstone HR team in Northamptonshire!

HR TEAM

The role will join a small, fast-paced HR department responsible for attracting, hiring and retaining talented people. The HR team delivers support to the wider business working collaboratively within the team making sure professional, effective and efficient support is given to staff and managers. This is an exciting time to join the team as we move forward with a number of new developments, your role will play a critical lead in attracting talent to Team Silverstone.

Job purpose

Attract and recruit the best talent to deliver successful track events, leisure and business activity, matching them to temporary or permanent positions. Build positive internal relationships in order to gain a better understanding of recruitment needs and requirements.

Key responsibilities

Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the hiring manager to understand their teams’ hiring needs, capabilities and knowledge requirements/gaps, business and team dynamics and forming recruitment plans

Leading vacancy consultation discussions with hiring managers and documenting recruitment plans which include: role requirements, agreed timeframes, roles, and responsibilities of all involved

Attracting candidates by drafting advertising copy for use in a range of media, as well as by networking, headhunting and through referrals

Sourcing and interviewing candidates for potential opportunities, interviewing them

and running appropriate background checks

Being the first point of contact for recruitment enquiries

Leading  ongoing  seasonal recruitment campaigns

Working in conjunction with the Marketing Department to use social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships

Advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media, such as newspapers, websites and magazines

Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work

Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating shortlists of candidates for the hiring manager

Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the hiring manager

Briefing the candidates about the responsibilities, salary and benefits associated

with the job

Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to managers regarding suitable

applicants

Coordinating interviews and assessments and managing all supporting administration

Informing candidates about the results of interviews

Reviewing recruitment policies to ensure the effectiveness of selection techniques and

Recruitment programmes

Managing the day to day relationships with agreed recruitment agencies where applicable

Managing incoming recruitment enquiries

Providing feedback to candidates after interviews have taken place

Promoting equality and diversity within all approaches to recruitment

Supporting the Head of HR with project work as required


Team responsibilities

Overseeing and supporting the Recruitment and Staffing Coordinator with casual recruitment, timesheets and monthly payroll as required

Accountability for direct line report including their development

Help to create a welcoming and professional environment and proactive culture within

the department


Knowledge, skills and qualifications

The successful candidate will likely be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar in-house recruitment position as well as: experience in supporting an organisation with recruitment needs and future forecasting

Attention to detail and good time management skills (which are an absolute must for this role)

The ability to prioritise. As you will be managing your own projects, this skill is key!

Professional presentation skills  in  order to reflect Silverstone’s values

A flexible approach to working hours, including weekend work particularly between April — January when Silverstone is very much a seven day a week operation

Good written/verbal communication skills with the ability to speak confidently to people at all levels
