Assistant Project Manager - Birmingham City Centre
Due to rapid growth, a leading property provider recognised for its collaborative culture, innovation, and commitment to professional growth are seeking an exceptional assistant project manager to join the team!
In this role, you will have sole responsibility for the management and execution of projects set by the project manager and ensure they are carried out to time, quality and budget, and in compliance of company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compliant project activity in line with company standards and client expectations, maintaining accurate and well-organised project documentation including plans, schedules, logs, and reports.
- Monitor project quality, progress, performance, and risk, proactively identifying issues and escalating them clearly to the Project Manager to ensure delivery remains on track.
- Allocate and oversee work across the project team, refining work instructions, setting clear performance expectations, and ensuring consistent quality of outputs.
- Motivate, support, and develop team members, providing day-to-day line management and coaching to junior colleagues in close collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, supporting quality assurance and governance activities alongside the Technical Consultant and Project Manager.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with relevant experience.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and consistently meets deadlines.
- At least one year of leadership or task-management experience, with a natural ability to motivate and support others.
- Strong planning skills and a passion for delivering impactful projects.
- Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail when interpreting plans/maps and reviewing reports.
- Experience managing large-scale mail-outs and handling detailed documentation with precision.
