A forward-thinking, dynamic charity based near Milton Keynes are currently looking to recruit an Events Assistant to join their team in a varied, exciting role! This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to use their previous administrative/events experience or education in a new role, where they can hopefully progress within the organisation long-term!
This is full-time, permanent position paying up to £25k annually depending on experience. This role offers an excellent hybrid-working pattern with free parking on-site, and a brilliant overall benefits package!
Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Handling any enquiries that come through to the events team, managing the diary and scheduling for confirmed bookings
• Acting as a first point of contact for any new enquires and smaller events, liaising with the Events Manager and working collaboratively at all times to ensure efficient preparation beforehand, a smooth delivery and post-event procedures and feedback are recorded
• Liaising directly with the operations and hospitality teams, coordinating any enquiries and resolving issues the arise at each major event
• Raising any contracts of engagement, proof-reading and making any necessary amendments
• Liaising with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring all services and products provided are in line with planned budgets and scheduled within necessary timeframes
• Scheduling any internal and external meetings, preparing relevant documentation and reports
• Undertaking any general administration duties for event days, raising purchase orders and invoices, preparing event calendars and packs, relevant signage and itineraries
• Ensuring all documentation and files are up-to-date and accurate on internal CRM and HR systems
The ideal candidate must have excellent organisation and time-management skills, strong Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and IT skills, and be able to use internal systems effectively. The ability to work proactively towards deadlines, and in a busy, fast-paced environment is also essential, where no two days are the same in this varied role.
Previous experience in an administrative/events role is desired.
