My client is a National Charity with an outstanding reputation for the level of service and support to the wider public. An opportunity has arisen for a Debt Support Advisor to join their team. This role will be remote with only one day in the office per week.

The hours are 9am to 8pm on rotational shifts over a 4 week period with one Saturday morning every month. The role offers a salary of £32,379 with 29 days holiday with an additional 8 days for bank holiday.
Please note that for the first 14 weeks will be office based for intense training before the role becomes remote.

As an Adviser you will provide advice, support, and money management help to members of the public struggling financially with debt. This is an extremely rewarding role in a friendly, informal and supportive environment and ideal for someone keen on a role that helps the community in an altruistic role

Your role will entail helping callers to form a budget, prioritise their debts and identify possible solutions such as Debt Management Plans, Debt Relief Orders or Individual Voluntary Arrangements, in compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations.

Applicants must have previous experience advising members of the public on highly sensitive and confidential matters. Ideally debt management or financial difficulty experience is required. Experience of advising on payment plans within debt management programs is also ideal.
You will be able to demonstrate strong empathy, an impartial manner and excellent investigative skills.
There will be full training and extensive support. Training will be held at their newly refurbished offices in Birmingham, with some training days worked at home.
