A reputable international law firm is looking to hire an office manager in their office in Birmingham. They require someone who is effective an efficient in their work while maintaining a level of flexibility and being able to function autonomously. A strong character is necessary as there is a large amount of people management and team work is key to this role. Someone who is a positive and proactive individual will thrive in this fast paced company.
Some of the key roles you will be taking on is:
• Functioning as a main liaison with a plethora of departments as well as senior directors and management.
• Heading up pf safety and facilities as well as policies and procedures.
• Monitoring and reporting in a range of activities in all departments.
• Handling of internal systems and training other staff on these systems.
• Management of finance department with respect to ensuring no unbudgeted expenditure.
• Liaison with marketing team to keep up to date with all activities including marketing materials, events and seminars.
• Help in Human Resources with hiring and induction as well as assisting in staff issues.
• Handling of any issues with the building as well as liaison with the landlord and security.
• Front of house duties, as well as management of support staff.
What you’ll need for this role:
• Office Manager experience within a professional services environment
• IWFM qualification or a desire to study
• Experience in a law firm
• An ability to operate autonomously with minimum supervision
• Good leadership and people management skills
