Legal Assistant (ID:6613)
A leading national law firm are
looking for a Legal Assistant to join them in their Birmingham City Centre office.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous Court of Protection
or Private Client experience to join them in a busy, varied role!
You
will be responsible for:
·
Assisting with the case progression service,
right the way through to completion applications to the Court of Protection
· Liaising with internal and external
stakeholders, including the litigation team, cases managers and financial
advisors to support with the management of property and financial affairs
·
Preparing bills of costs, accounts, and
reports, and liaise with clients to answer any queries
·
Diary management, scheduling meetings and
making travel arrangements
·
Typing up correspondence, documents, bills, as
well as any reports or notes for the Legal Advisers
· Compiling, sending out and chasing bills,
ensuring all expenses are processed and managing cheque and payment
requisitions
·
Opening and closing files, preparing
documentation using their in-house style and maintaining records accurately
·
Supporting the team with additional
administrative tasks when required
The
ideal candidate will have pay strong attention to detail, be well organised,
have excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence liaising
with clients and stakeholders in a friendly, professional manner. You must be
committed to providing an exceptional level of service, and a keen team player!
This is a full-time, permanent position paying up to £23k annually,
with a flexible working pattern. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
