Birmingham City Centre - flexible working

Full-time, permanent role

£19-20k 

Katie Bard are seeking experienced legal professionals for an opportunity at an award-winning firm with national coverage. The role will be based out of the firm's Birmingham City Centre HQ but they are offering a long-term flexible working pattern in order to work remotely / from home. The position will provide exposure to working with commercial household names and also the opportunity to learn from some of the most recognised leaders in the field, with long-term progression on offer for the right candidate. 

Key aspects of the role include...

  • Taking responsibility for own caseload from start to finish - assessing evidence provided, establishing quantum and negotiating liability
  • Drafting legal documentation, proceedings, correspondence and witness statements
  • Building and maintaining commercial client relationships - taking new instructions and providing regular updates over the telephone, via email and letter
  • Handling all aspects of the litigation and compliance process in accordance with the CPS rules
  • Undertaking all administration tasks associated with the role, including archiving, billing and file / case management

Ideal candidate profile...

  • Previous experience from a legal or claims background - can be from an administration capacity
  • An understanding of dealing with high volumes of work and how to prioritise effectively
  • Strong IT ability, including intermediate levels of the full Microsoft Office package
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate
