Legal Assistant - Claims (ID:6207)
- Taking responsibility for own caseload from start to finish - assessing evidence provided, establishing quantum and negotiating liability
- Drafting legal documentation, proceedings, correspondence and witness statements
- Building and maintaining commercial client relationships - taking new instructions and providing regular updates over the telephone, via email and letter
- Handling all aspects of the litigation and compliance process in accordance with the CPS rules
- Undertaking all administration tasks associated with the role, including archiving, billing and file / case management
Ideal candidate profile...
- Previous experience from a legal or claims background - can be from an administration capacity
- An understanding of dealing with high volumes of work and how to prioritise effectively
- Strong IT ability, including intermediate levels of the full Microsoft Office package
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate
