A leading Birmingham head quartered business has an exciting maternity cover role for an Events Manager within their team. This is a 9-12 month position is due to start in August and is paying up to £27000!

You will be responsible for managing the full events portfolio for the 3 UK offices, as part of a high functioning marketing and Events team. This will include the planning and execution of campaigns, conferences, black tie functions, virtual as well as in person events!

Main duties will include:

·         Working closely with the management team to devise and implement events strategies.

·         Sourcing and booking venues, suppliers and contractors.

·         Managing event budgets.

·         Organising and managing delegate and guest lists, preparing appropriate mailing material and smoothly running the pre and post event administration.

·         Fully planning and project managing the 200+ events schedule for the year,

·         Post event evaluation to include RIO and run debrief feedback sessions

·         Attending events and being the main point of contact on the day, ensuring they are run smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, and will be professional, engaging and highly organised. You must be able to demonstrate both proficiency and passion in this field and will be looking for a role that is exciting and rewarding. You should be able to confidently demonstrate you project management skills and have a knowledge of planning and running events that allows you to present potential new events to include in the schedule. You will be confident working with high-functioning and fast-paced internal teams to help create an exciting and varied schedule.

This role is based in Birmingham and will require some ad hoc travel across to the south of the UK/ London.
