Administration Assistant for Barristers Chambers (ID:5804)
My client
is an established and highly reputable Barrister's Chambers based in
Birmingham. An opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join
their growing team:
Entering on into the system any briefs, instructions, or supplementary papers which arrive by post/DX /email as directed by clerks.

Scanning in hard copy papers in liaison with
reprographics /post room to be emailed to counsel or placed in DropBox
(ensuring you are aware of the location of papers at all times)
· Ensuring any urgent papers are booked on and
brought to counsels (or where necessary clerks) immediate attention.
· Notifying clerks of any discrepancies between
the diary and papers received.
· Monitoring and maintaining the email/database.
· Dealing with any papers/instructions that arrive
onto the database, as above.
· To bill any work for conferences, hearings, written
work where the papers have been handed directly back to you.
· Ensuring the correct rates are applied as above, a fee note printed, papers returned and any paperwork removed from counsel To-Do list.
Entering counsels billing information
correctly onto the system in accordance with counsels individual hourly
rates, CFA information, set fees protocol/rates for specific solicitors.
