My client is a highly successful national firm with an outstanding reputation. An opportunity has arisen for a Claims Handler to support within their Insurance team. Previous Insurance experience is essential for this role. This is a progressive role and an opportunity to grow and develop within the firm. The role is a mixture of working from the office and home.

This insurance team focuses on recovering costs from uninsured losses. Their clients include high profile names including retail, construction and logistics clients. Your role will be to:

·         Managing your caseload and diary

·         Investigating the evidence to establish responsibility

·         Evaluating each claim and calculating a quantum figure

·         Sending Letters before action and collating all information relevant to the claim

·         Drafting legal proceedings

·         Instructing counsel to attend hearings where required

·         Drafting correspondence and witness statements

·         Managing client relationships

Applicants must have some previous experience within an insurance claims environment. You will be organised and good at managing a solid caseload and have strong investigative skills. This role is progressive so a law degree or similar qualification is beneficial although not essential!
