A leading national organisation are looking for a Payroll Advisor to join their dynamic HR operations team, in a busy, challenging role! This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to take on the responsibility for managing the end-to-end payroll process, building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, researching and implementing changes to legislation and improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll function.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Accurately process payroll data for up to 5000 employees on internal systems in line with deadlines
• Providing advice and guidance on basic HR queries, policies, procedures and systems, investigating and resolving them in a timely manner
• Update and maintain the internal systems and databases, ensuring all data and information is accurate and up-to-date
• Carry out routine transactions to deliver the full employee lifecycle, onboarding new starters, sending out contract, producing and processing changes letters and supporting the leaver process
• Conduct right to work and referencing checks, ensuring legal compliance
• Ensure all queries and amendments related to benefits are handled with payroll and 3rd parties, and updated on the systems accurately
• Prioritise and manage your personal workload, working towards agreed SLAs and KPIs
• Maintain relationships and encourage engagement from key stakeholders

The successful candidate must have excellent time management skills, pay strong attention to detail and have high levels of accuracy with their work at all times. Strong IT skills, experience working with and adapting to using multiple systems, and the ability to adapt and work well in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment are also a must.

Delivering an exceptional level of support to the employers and wider payroll team is at the forefront of this organisation’s commitment to encouraging personal and professional development in the workplace. Therefore, excellent teamworking skills and a collaborative approach are essential, as you will be work as part of a team that are developing new ideas and strategies to continuously improve the existing processes in place. Experience with Oracle is also desired, but not necessary.

This is initially a full-time, 6M FTC position, paying up to 35k annually depending on experience, and will be primarily a remote-working position.
